In July we went on a family vacation to Tennessee. It was hot but beautiful down there. We spent a lot of time at the top of the mountains and enjoying the different attractions that the location had to offer.
I did not go on a hike but we did take a drive through the mountains and here are some of the pictures from the sites we saw while we were there. From waterfalls to the old buildings that were still standing.
So I finally finished my hat and hand warmers. They are the perfect size for my head and I can fit some of those gloves for smartphones on under my hand warmers. They are so comfortable and go nicely with my gray jacket and coat. They were just practice patterns that I will use for myself but will keep them in mind for future projects. Right now I am going to finish on my blanket projects so that I can start with the new yarn that I got this week. But for now I am taking it easy as I am trying to enjoy the Halloween spirit. I hope everyone else is trying to enjoy this season and having some fun before Thanksgiving and the Holiday Season starts. Find this and more great yarn at https://amzn.to/2CeKHOE
So this week I have been working on my third baby blanket and have incorporated a shell design into the middle of it as I tried to show previously. It is looking a lot more like a shell than before I am surprised to say. I have not been able to take a photo of it and am waiting until I can call it done. I wanted to make the blanket a little larger and am thinking about what to do with the extra yarn that I am bound to have from my skein. I am thinking that I may turn it into a hat but we will need to wait and see how much material I have left at the end. Found the material online at https://amzn.to/2OVLOWQ I hope it all turns out well. Wish me luck :)
So the baby blanket is finally finished and some extra things were made to go with the blanket. So it is my first design blanket and time making a stuffed animal blanket toy but I think they came out pretty decent for a beginner just going with the flow of the creative juices. I even made a few hats with the yarn. They are simple but they are getting nicer with each new hat I make. I cant wait to get more yarn to make some more of these things and hats. With the yarn I have in stock I may just start working on a hat for myself. Maybe with some ears like a cat in time for the Halloween season. I will keep you posted with how it turns out. The yarn I want to get next can be found at https://amzn.to/2xK5vKf
