Hiking with my camera


During my busy time away from the computer I was able to go on a hike up a mountain near my home. It was a wet muddy hike up and only one slip which happened to be on my way down. The scenery was amazing especially at the top of the mountain. I love using my DSLR camera and seeing how the original pictures come out. My next steps over the next few months will be to see the kind of edits I can make to them through my photo editing software programs.

Hat Project

So I finally finished my hat and hand warmers. They are the perfect size for my head and I can fit some of those gloves for smartphones on under my hand warmers. They are so comfortable and go nicely with my gray jacket and coat. They were just practice patterns that I will use for myself but will keep them in mind for future projects. Right now I am going to finish on my blanket projects so that I can start with the new yarn that I got this week. But for now I am taking it easy as I am trying to enjoy the Halloween spirit. Baby blanket continued

So this week I have been working on my third baby blanket and have incorporated a shell design into the middle of it as I tried to show previously. It is looking a lot more like a shell than before I am surprised to say. I have not been able to take a photo of it and am waiting until I can call it done. I wanted to make the blanket a little larger and am thinking about what to do with the extra yarn that I am bound to have from my skein. I am thinking that I may turn it into a hat but we will need to wait and see how much material I have left at the end. Baby blanket finished

So the baby blanket is finally finished and some extra things were made to go with the blanket. So it is my first design blanket and time making a stuffed animal blanket toy but I think they came out pretty decent for a beginner just going with the flow of the creative juices. I even made a few hats with the yarn. They are simple but they are getting nicer with each new hat I make. I cant wait to get more yarn to make some more of these things and hats. With the yarn I have in stock I may just start working on a hat for myself. Maybe with some ears like a cat in time for the Halloween season.
