Balanced Elephant Creations

So the baby blanket is finally finished and some extra things were made to go with the blanket. So it is my first design blanket and time making a stuffed animal blanket toy but I think they came out pretty decent for a beginner just going with the flow of the creative juices. I even made a few hats with the yarn. They are simple but they are getting nicer with each new hat I make. I cant wait to get more yarn to make some more of these things and hats. With the yarn I have in stock I may just start working on a hat for myself. Maybe with some ears like a cat in time for the Halloween season. So this week I have been working on my third baby blanket and have incorporated a shell design into the middle of it as I tried to show previously. It is looking a lot more like a shell than before I am surprised to say. I have not been able to take a photo of it and am waiting until I can call it done. I wanted to make the blanket a little larger and am thinking about what to do with the extra yarn that I am bound to have from my skein. I am thinking that I may turn it into a hat but we will need to wait and see how much material I have left at the end. Now that I have caught you up on my experiences while I was away now let's get back to what I am working on during the present moment. I have been assisting my sister develop her promotional files as she goes out on her own to start her own business. We worked together to design her business cards, brochures, rack cards, and the next thing on the list is her postcards to send out to local residences to help spread the word of her new business. Based on the type of business that she is starting we went with some of my pictures that I took during my past vacations. She wanted to give off a feeling of peace and calm so we went with some tree and ocean based pictures. Greens and blues also help to bring an idea of calm and serenity so this helps to promote the ideas of the emotions she wants to incorporate. Time to get back to designing.
